When we envisioned The Cottages on Osoyoos Lake, we wanted to create the Okanagan’s premier retirement community, and we believe we’ve succeeded. The Cottages on Osoyoos Lake is a spectacular gated lakefront community of detached homes ranging in price from the $300’s to over $1-million.
There is so much to do on site, you may never want to leave. We have almost 2 km of level walking trails on site – along the beach and through a wide open landscaped meadow. If you are looking for more of workout you can climb our stairs to our hillside homes and enjoy the view that these homeowner enjoy every day. Really into fitness? Spend a few hours a week in our fitness centre which has 13 pieces of commercial fitness equipment. If you like to participate in a group exercise class, you can join one of the groups that practices in the great-room of the Community Centre. The Community Centre also has two outdoor pools, two outdoor hot tubs, an indoor/outdoor kitchen as well as a large great-room for family and community events. When you tire of all the activity, stroll down the meadow path to the sandy beach, build a fire in one of the fire pits, and watch the sun set over the mountains.
Now, when you do leave the site, there are many activities nearby. We are located in the heart of wine country, with award winning wineries such as Black Hills, Burrowing Owl, Platinum Bench and others located on Black Sage Road only a few kilometers from The Cottages. You could go for an 18 km walk or bike ride on the beautiful Okanagan River trail. If you like to golf, there are plenty of great courses within a 15 minute drive – Sonora Dunes, Fairfield, Inkaneep, just to name a few. In winter, skiing and snowshoeing at Mount Baldy or Apex is only a short drive from the site.
All your day to day needs can be met in Oliver or Osoyoos, each about 15 minutes away. If you need to visit some larger stores drive out to Penticton which is a 45 minute drive through spectacular countryside.
It is also easy to visit your far-flung family and friends. Penticton Airport has direct flights to and from Calgary and Vancouver, and from there to the world.
